Our Authors:

David Arthur
David, Vice President of Teaching and Training of Precept Ministries International, came to Precept after serving at Generous Giving as a vice president. He also served several years as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church of America and the Associated Reformed Presbyterian denominations. Arthur directed Generous Giving’s communications and publications, as well as participating in one-on-one mentoring of pastors and church leaders who seek to establish cultures of generosity in their congregations. Prior to his pastoral work, he was employed at IBM in Columbia, S.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Covenant College and a master’s in theology from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Kay Arthur
Kay’s enthusiastic practical approach to the Biblical texts has drawn thousands to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Her renowned distinguishable Christian character, Bible teaching, inductive study books, and national radio and television programs continue to touch innumerable lives with her passion to establish people in God’s Word and to teach them to discover truth for themselves. Kay’s fervor for the Lord is driven by remembrance of her humble beginnings. In August 2007 Kay received a Doctor of Humane Letters from Tennessee Temple University located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She and her husband Jack Arthur serve as cofounders and co-CEO of Precept Ministries International.

Pete De Lacy
Pete has led Precept studies since 1984. He joined the Precept staff in 1989 after a 20-year US Army career, including service in Europe, Viet Nam, at West Point and on the staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon. He serves as Chief Operating Officer of Precept Ministries International, has authored several 40-Minute Bible Studies and New Inductive Study Series (NISS), and is a featured speaker on many Precept Upon Precept videos.

BJ Lawson
BJ is a co-author with Kay Arthur of the popular small-group 40-Minute Bible Studies. As a conference speaker and Bible Study Trainer and teacher, she travels extensively nationally and internationally. She has served with the Precept Ministries International staff since 1997.
David Lawson
David became a Precept leader in 1982, after being an Atlanta police officer and a pastor. He serves as Director of Church and Ministry Relations for Precept Ministries International. David has coauthored some of the New Inductive Study Series (NISS) and 40-Minute Bible Studies, and is a featured speaker in Precept Upon Precept videos.

Bob Vereen
Bob first led a Precept course in 1978. He joined Precept’s staff in 1991 with his wife, Diane, after years as a successful pastor and businessman. They serve as Ambassadors-at-Large, overseeing 17 Precept offices throughout Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, the Pacific Rim, Australia, the Caribbean, and Canada. Bob has coauthored NISS and 40-Minute Bible Studies

Diane Vereen
Diane (and husband Bob) joined the Precept staff in 1991. Together the couple serves as Ambassadors at-Large, overseeing 17 Precept offices throughout Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, the Pacific Rim, Austrailia, the Caribbean, and Canada.
