Precept Ministries…
Is a ministry raised up by God for the
sole purpose of establishing God’s people in God’s
Word as that which produces a reverence for Him. It serves
as an arm of the church without respect to denomination.
God has led Precept Ministries to reach across denominational
lines without in any way comprising the truths of God’s
inerrant Word. Believing that the Word has been verbally
inspired and given to man as all that is necessary for
a man of God to be mature and thoroughly equipped for
every good work of life, this ministry does not seek to
impose upon others its personal doctrines, but rather
to direct them to the Master Himself, who is able by His
Holy Spirit to lead and to guide them into all truth through
systematic study of His Word.
It’s a
ministry committed to help you dig deeper into
God’s Word and find the treasure of His truth.
It’s a
method of study that will open up the Scriptures
for you in a way you never thought possible- regardless
of your academic or denominational background.
It’s a mission,
a network of Bible- centred outreach that is drawing people
from across the nation and across the world more and more
deeply into God’s Word, with the purpose of establishing
them in God’s Word as that which produces reverence
for Him.
Precept Ministries was started in 1970
in the United States by Jack and Kay Arthur. Today it
is an international organization touching more than 149
countries in 70 languages, with headquarters in Chattanooga,
Tennessee.
Precept Ministries started in South Africa in 1990 under the direction of Ken and Sheila Coleman, later taken over by Stuart Kemsley, in 2006. This office has its headquarters in Pinelands in the Western Cape and now takes responsibility for the co-ordination of the work in Southern Africa.
